Gioia kiced off petitioning in the Bronx to gather signatures for public advocate race.
Councilman Eric Gioia, candidate for Public Advocate, and supporters were outside the Castle Hill Senior Center in the Bronx earlier today (morning) to gather signatures to place Gioia on the ballot this September. Tuesday, June 09, is the first day that petitions can legally be gathered. 7,500 signatures are required to get on the ballot for Public Advocate, and Gioia will be collecting signatures from residents of all five boroughs tomorrow.
