As a proud 51-year resident of Co-Op City in the Bronx, Glenn Acosta’s story is one of hard work, dedication, and an impressive career that spans over three decades. Retired as a union carpenter with the New York City District Council of Carpenters for 35 years, Glenn’s journey took an exciting turn when he simultaneously began to serve as the road manager for legendary Latin superstar Marc Anthony, a position he has held for 25 years and counting.

Now, let’s shift the spotlight to the next generation, specifically to Paula Leon Amaya, Glenn’s accomplished daughter. Paula’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Graduating from college in December 2017, Paula initially worked in logistics. However, her trajectory shifted when she joined a local production company in Colombia, starting as an Assistant Production Coordinator. Climbing the ranks swiftly, Paula eventually took over the reins and assumed the duties of Production Coordinator in Colombia after its founder, Andres Albornoz, relocated to the United States and continued to operate the business from there.

Paula’s expertise in coordinating shows for renowned artists, such as Carlos Vives, Juanes, Fonseca, Shakira, J Balvin, Sebastian Yatra, and the iconic Marc Anthony, garnered her welldeserved recognition and highlighted her remarkable portfolio, as these are some of today’s most renowned names in the music industry. Her reputation for excellence reached new heights, prompting Marc Anthony to suggest that her talents would be equally impactful in the U.S. production scene.

Even during the challenges posed by the CoViD-19 pandemic, Paula continued to expand her clientele and expertise as a production coordinator. While maintaining her regular job, she decided to further her education. In early 2022, she embarked on a journey to earn her Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at FIU in Florida. Armed with her Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Paula’s determination to reach new heights knew no bounds.

After obtaining her student visa, Paula reserved her spot for her Master’s program, which she completed in August 2023. Her stellar achievements caught the attention of some of the most prominent Latin production companies in the U.S., based in the vibrant city of Miami. Currently, Paula is making waves as she coordinates the Don Omar 2024 Tour for CMN Events, a testament to her skill and dedication to the world of Latin music production. In a beautiful twist of fate, Paula is set to work as production coordinator, alongside her stepdad, Glenn Acosta, who continues to play a pivotal role as the road manager for Marc Anthony. The synergy between Glenn’s illustrious career and Paula’s continued success not only showcases their individual accomplishments but also highlights the enduring spirit of a family deeply rooted in talent, passion, and a shared love for the world of entertainment. The Acosta/Leon legacy continues to shine, both on and off the stage.
