Frederick Alvarez Receives Award

Frederick “Freddy” Alvarez, ’14, a journalism and mass communication major from Bronx, NY received the Residence Life Commitment Award during St. Bonaventure University’s annual RA Awards Banquet Sunday, April 22, 2012.

Alvarez received this award for outstanding commitment to Residence Life through volunteering, promptness, and efficiency. He exhibited a hard-working attitude, was always present when needed, and never failed to follow through with any given task. He is well-known as a reliable resource for students and is recognized by his fellow RAs for his supportive nature, skills in conflict resolution, and flexibility to adapt to the challenges of the position. This is Alvarez’s first year as a resident assistant, and he will be returning next year as an RA in Shay Hall.

At the banquet, resident assistants from all classes and residence halls received awards for their achievements and attitudes in creating healthy, safe, informed, and fun environments for the students in their charge. The awards given were the Senior Achievement Award, Programmer of the Year, the Residence Life Commitment Award, the St. Bonaventure University Service Award, and the Residence Life Spirit Award.
