Freddy Polanco, 21, Arrested For The Murder Of Irvin Payne, 30

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at approximately 0310 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 620 Lenox Avenue, within the confines of the 32nd Precinct in Manhattan.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the face.

EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Irvin Payne
540 E. 169th Street
Bronx, NY 10456

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the following 21-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged.

Arrested:

Freddy Polanco
1595 E. 174th Street
Bronx, NY 10460

Charges:

  • murder;
  • criminal use of a firearm;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
