On Saturday, August 01, 2020, at approximately 0135 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 1166 Burke Avenue (Eastchester Playground), within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the torso and left arm.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
