On Friday, February 17, 2017, at approximately 0020 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision in the vicinity of Exit 10 on the northbound Bronx River Parkway, at 233 street, located within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the vehicle operator, a 47-year-old male, and his front-seat passenger, a 44-year-old male, inside the vehicle with severe trauma about their respective bodies.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the two males deceased at the scene.
Further investigation by the NYPD’s Highway Division’s Collision Investigation Squad determined the operator was driving a white 2009 Mercedes S 550 sedan, traveling northbound on the Bronx River Parkway in the left lane and failed to navigate a bend in the road, before he struck the right lane guardrail. Upon doing so, the vehicle went over the guardrail and came to a rest upon striking a tree.

The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
