The public is invited to a conversation about service and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at:

Parkchester Library
1985 Westchester Avenue
Bronx, NY 10462

Tel.: 718-829-7830

Dr. King’s life and work has inspired generations of Americans to serve and make the world a better place. Each year we pause to reflect on his legacy of service and its meaning in today’s world. Parents bring your children for a family discussion on why community service is appropriate to commemorate his life. Join us to read together an excerpt from W.E.B. DuBois’s 1898 commencement address at Fisk University and talk about the personal and social importance of public service and civic engagement.

No registration required. All ages welcome.
