Police in Bronx have arrested a 15-year-old boy after a wild foot chase near Crotona Park Wednesday evening.

Along the way, authorities say, the teenager fired his gun at the officers chasing him.

Officers responded to a call of a man with a gun on East 170th Street just after 7:30 p.m. When they arrived, they observed the armed teen, who fled down Fulton Street.

While mid-block, police say the male turned and fired his weapon at the pursuing officers, but missed.

The officers did not return fire and continued to pursue the suspect, who was apprehended at St. Paul’s Avenue and Crotona Street.

A .22-caliber handgun was recovered at the scene.
