CityParks Track & Field – Summer 2019

CityParks Track & Field enables kids to learn the fundamentals of the sport at 14 citywide parks. The program is open to boys and girls ages 5-17 and runs each July and August in parks throughout the five boroughs. Activities includes long jump, shot put, hurdles, discus, javelin, and track. Programs for youth ages 5-7 run from 09:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., ages 8-17 run from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Program details

  • ages 5 – 17;
  • July 1 – August 8, 2019 (Track Meet is scheduled for Thursday, August 8);
  • admission is free.

*Please note: Programs for youth ages 5-7 run from 09:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., ages 8-17 run from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

FAQs

Does my child need any equipment for this program?
All equipment is provided at no cost. Participants do need appropriate footwear such as sneakers or running shoes.

Are there any restrictions to participation?
All participants must be a NYC resident between the ages of 5 to 17.

Do I need to bring the printed ticket on the first day of programming?
No – your ticket is not necessary. Coaches will have a list of registered participants. Be sure to take note of what location and schedule you are registered for.
