As the Presidential elections draw near, we asked Bronxites who they plan to vote for, Trump or Biden, and why.

Here are their responses.

Zenobia Bonilla
Bronx County Conservative Party
County Committeewoman 87th Assembly District

I am definitely voting for Trump. As a wartime president, Trump has demonstrated remarkable diplomacy, keeping the US out of war and fostering a level of peace and respect, even with someone as powerful as North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

During the Trump administration, the job market experienced an enormous boom, benefiting individuals across all societal classes. Trump embodies the American Dream, representing the values of hard work, determination, and success.

He stands as a symbol of hope and prosperity for the American people because he believes in them.

Harry Gomez
Independent Party
Director of the Bronx Veteran Political Party

As an Army Veteran, I truly believe in the Office of the President and hold the view that whoever holds that position not only leads our Nation but also greatly influences the rest of the world. That is why I believe it is everyone’s duty and responsibility to vote. With that being said, in the upcoming election, I will be honest and say that as an Independent, I do not really like any of the candidates running. For me, it’s a matter of choosing the lesser of the “evils” that can get the job done, and for me, that is Nikki Haley.

I feel that President Biden is too focused on being the cool, popular President that he has lost sight of key agendas like National Security, Public Safety, Childhood Education, and Veterans Services.

I believe Nikki Haley will address these agendas with less concern for being “woke” and more focus on what benefits the American People as a whole. If Nikki Haley cannot secure her name on the ballot, then I will reluctantly throw my support behind former President Donald Trump.

Not because I think he’s necessarily the best man for the job, but when it comes to choosing between two “evils,” I feel he will prioritize putting America first over “wokeness.”

Gary Lutz
Bronx County Conservative Party
District Leader for the 86th Assembly District

I really do not have an opinion of whether I prefer Trump or Biden. Although I believe Trump did a better job by far in foreign policies and many issues here.

President Biden along with Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul and Representative Cortez have done horrible jobs. Inflation up, crime higher, benefits cut, jobs cut, veterans and others still largely ignored. Money is wasted ridiculously especially on migrants, wars in Ukraine and Israel, robots patrolling Times Square.

I’d vote for anybody but for Biden.
