A substitute teacher was arrested Friday for allegedly assaulting a student at a Bronx preparatory school.

Police say Sary Guinier, 58, grabbed and pulled the scarf of a 17-year-old student who was leaving a testing site Friday afternoon at Knowledge and Power Preparatory High School in Belmont.

Authorities say the student complained of neck and shoulder pain but she was not treated for any injuries.

Guinier began teaching for the Department of Education in 1997.

DOE officials say Guinier will be reassigned pending the outcome of the case.
