People gathered in Van Cortlandt Park Sunday to educate and raise awareness about suicide prevention.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention says it is the 10^th leading cause of death in the United States.

This year’s walk featured a butterfly tree, where people could place a butterfly on it to symbolize those who were lost to suicide.
