The Moth StorySLAMs are open-mic storytelling competitions open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night’s theme, WHEELS, inspired by Useless: Machines for Dreaming, Thinking and Seeing, on view at the Bronx Museum from March 27 – September 1, 2019.

Prepare a five minute story about what makes the world go ’round. The revolutionary invention that gives your feet a rest. Tricycles, bicycles, automobiles! Bus, train, skateboard, shopping cart. Tales of getting from here to there. Flat tires, giant rounds of cheese, and hamsters spinning round and round.

To be selected to participate, arrive by 07:00 p.m. and enter your name in The Moth “hat.” The event will conclude at 10:00 p.m.

$15 tickets will be available for purchase here a week prior to the event.

A select amount of tickets are available for community members. Please visit here to register as a Bronx resident.
