More than 20 Bronx residents donated much-needed blood in their community.
Three organizations – Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corporation (NIDC), Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association, and Albanian American Open Hand Association joined hands to support the American Red Cross blood drive in the community on January 31, 2023.
About 70 lives will be positively impacted in New York thanks to the generosity of 23 Bronx residents.
The blood drive took place at Destination Tomorrow’s community room on Barnes Avenue, a testament to Bronx community groups coming together to assist those in need.
“Donating blood is the universal language of care,” says William Foster, Executive Director of NIDC. “As we celebrate 40 years in the community, this blood drive is a reminder of why we continue to engage and serve Bronx residents.”
