Authorities say a Bronx lowlife tossed his girlfriend’s dachshund puppy from a sixth-story window — killing it — but the pup’s owner stands by her man.
The heartless alleged puppy killer, Keith Rogers, 27, hit his 31-year-old girlfriend during a fight in her W. 129th Street apartment, then sent her six-month-old pooch Sydney flying at about 01:00 p.m., according to authorities.
“I don’t care about the dog. It’s $1,300. I’ll buy a new one,” the monster allegedly told cops. “I don’t give a fuck about the dog.”
Witnesses saw Rogers pull the murdered hound out of a pool of blood near parked cars, throw it across the street and then leave it in a trash can, prosecutors said.
He also at one point allegedly held her other pet outside the window, a bulldog, by its skin, but that animal was not harmed.
Rogers, sporting face and neck tattoos, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, assault, criminal mischief and harassment at his Tuesday court appearance and was ordered held on $25,000 bail.
Rogers claimed the dog was hit by a car after chasing him outside, his lawyer Evan Rock said. His girlfriend wants to believe him saying if he threw out one of the dogs, he would have done the same with the other.
