A 23-year-old Bronx man was arrested on multiple charges including possession of marijuana early Tuesday morning, Yonkers police said.

Police were called to Sunset Drive at 4:30 a.m. after a resident spotted two men with backpacks standing in the area, Yonkers Lt. Joseph Solicito said.

The men had been on a motorcycle and had their helmets off, Solicito said.

Responding to the suspicious person call, police spotted the two men who ran when they saw the cruiser.

“The reason they ran was because of the marijuana,” Solicito said.

Police captured Marlon Stone of 3947 Amundson Avenue. The second person escaped.

Inside Stone’s backpack was more than 25 grams of marijuana.

He was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, obstruction of governmental administration and criminal trespassing, all misdemeanors.

Police also impounded the motorcycle.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit NYPDCrimestoppers.com.

All calls are strictly confidential.
