A 21-year-old Bronx man, with a mounting criminal history, was arrested for slashing another man in the face during a fight inside a Gramatan Avenue topless bar, Mount Vernon police said Friday.

Yeltsin K. Beltran of 1600 Sedgwick Avenue was arrested by Mount Vernon police outside Sue’s Rendezvous at 4:03 a.m. Friday, Det. Capt. Edward Adinaro said.

A Mount Vernon police officer was on routine patrol near Sue’s Rendezvous when he was waved down by a 32-year-old Queens man who was bleeding from the left side of his face.

“He had sustained a long slash to the face,” Adinaro said.

The victim told police he was inside the bar when he was punched and slashed by Beltran, who was nearby on Gramatan Avenue.

Both men had been ejected from the 96 Gramatan Avenue bar by employees after they became involved in a fight, police said.

Police spotted Beltran about a block from the bar and arrested him.

He was charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

Police filed a report about the fight in the bar with the New York State Liquor Authority.

Beltran has been arrested six times since September 2008. He was arrested for four felonies, three of those offenses were violent crimes. He was convicted of two offenses, one a felony.
