After four years of construction, Bronx’s “first luxury hotel” is now open for business and taking reservations.

A former opera house (whose stage was graced by stars like Houdini, the Marx Brothers and George Burns), it went through stints as movie theater and nightclub before its makeover, courtesy of developer Jay Domb, into the 60-room Opera House Hotel.

Simple flourishes like a fleur-de-lis may not scream uber-high-end, but when you are getting a room for $120-$180 per night that is 20 minutes from Midtown, who really cares as long as it is clean?
