Minutes ago we received the following message from Cathy Moss Taylor from Satsuma, AL:

Dear Editors:

In a day and time that we can trust so few people, I must admit that my family has discovered an angel in your city.  We’ve never been to New York. However, my thirteen year old daughter, Holly, recently got to visit your city with a school group from Mobile, Alabama. While there, Holly accidentally left her cell phone on a park bench in Manhatten. We felt that we would never see the phone again.

Fortunately, Brenda Ortiz from Bronx, NY and owner of Breanda’s Cleaning Service saw the phone on the bench. When she realized that it belonged to a child (from the photos stored on the phone), she took the phone home with her and awaited our call.  Mrs. Ortiz went out of her way to mail the phone back to us in Alabama.  She had no expectations and made no demands. She was such a sweetheart!

I sincerely appreciate her compassion and kindness, attributes that I do not take for granted.

I simply wanted the people of NY to realize that you do have angels living among you!  Mrs. Brenda Ortiz is certainly one of those angels!

Thanks,

Cathy Moss Taylor
