Earlier today, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. in collaboration with New York State Senator Jeffrey D. Klein, Assembly Member Mark Gjonaj, the Throggs Neck Resident Council and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, hosted the borough’s annual PumpkinFest & Halloween Spooktacular.

The event, which took place at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, featured hundreds of costumed children enjoying an evening of fun, music, candy, pumpkin designing and other haunted festivities.

“Seeing our kids laugh and enjoy the candy, music and fun warms my heart,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. “We want to make sure that kids enjoy a safe, happy and spooky Halloween, one that they can enjoy with their parents as a family. Events like this are all about giving our children great memories.”

“The annual Bronx Pumpkinfest and Halloween Spooktacular is a wonderful event for our borough that provides a fun, festive and safe environment for our children. I’m glad to be a part of this year’s attraction, and I want to thank Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. for continuing this popular Halloween tradition,” said New York State Senator Jeffrey D. Klein.

“It is truly special when you see the kids of our community come together to enjoy Halloween. I am glad to be a part of this tradition that provides festive and safe environment for the children of our borough,” said New York State Assembly Member Mark Gjonaj.
