Bicyclist Micheal Basurto Larino, 22, Dead In A Motor Vehicle Collision

On Thursday, November 05, 2020, at approximately 1346 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision, involving a bicyclist at the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard and Brown Place, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, responding officers encountered EMS providing emergency care to an unconscious adult male.

EMS subsequently transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln where he was pronounced deceased.

The 34-year-old male operator of the vehicle, a tractor trailer, remained on the scene.

The preliminary investigation determined, that the bicyclist was traveling westbound on Bruckner Boulevard, when he collided into the rear of the tractor trailer, that was traveling southbound on Brown Place.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

The investigation is ongoing by the New York City Police Department’s Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
