A Baychester senior care center received some local visitors to help ring in the holiday season.

Current and former members of the Bronx Youth Empowerment Program, or YEP, went to visit senior citizens living at Workman’s Circle Multi-Care Center Friday.

The program, which they call the ‘generation’s initiative’ had students spending their day at the center.

While there, they talked, sung and played games with the residents.

“It’s important for us to come and stimulate them, and just have a good time,” says Brea Grate a former YEP member.

This is the 10th year YEP has done something like this and they say they plan on continuing the tradition for next holiday season.
