BAKER, the electro-pop sensation who has taken Manhattan’s Lower East Side by storm, is quickly creating a buzz in the music industry’s vast space.
BAKER’s music can be described as catchy and danceable, as he draws influence from musicians such as David Bowie and George Michael, among others.
BAKER’s career is already on the rise – he has built a solid fan base and garnered over 900,000 views on his Youtube page. He also recently wrapped up three shows at the world-famous SXSW Music Festival, where he showcased his energetic, addictive sound to his fans at the Hard Rock Lounge at the Cedar Door, alongside B.o.B., Miguel, and other artists. Since then, he has been planning several more shows for the Summer.
The innovative, upbeat artist — who happens to be a Harvard educated, classically-trained cellist — has had a busy year, playing shows in both New York and L.A. and recording with some of the biggest producers in the game — including the likes of Kylie Minogue and J.Lo hitmakers Cutfather and Damon Sharpe. Baker explains, “Pop music has always resonated with me, and it was the people I met in the studio that helped me figure out why. I’ve been lucky so far, and feel blessed that I have met such a diverse and talented creative group of people in the industry.”
BAKER is currently in Los Angeles – where he was first discovered by DJ Kelly Cole — to work on a new record with Eric Sanicola, a member of famed Lady Gaga producer RedOne’s production team. Also on board for the album: Greg Ogan, a member of The Writing Camp (whose production credits include tracks for Beyonce, Rihanna, and Britney Spears).
