Ayame Stamoulis, 18 & Jonathan Rodriguez, 21, Arrested For The Murder Of Richard Hamlet, 65

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at approximately 0557 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious person on the roof of the McDonald’s restaurant located at 279 E. 149th Street, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed 65-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, wrapped within a plastic bag.

EMS also responded to the location and pronounced the individual deceased at the scene.

The following 18-year-old female individual was arrested and charged in regard to this incident on Thursday, July 17, 2020, at 1730 hours, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

  • murder;
  • criminally negligent homicide.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Following the ongoing investigation, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) is asking for the public’s assistance identifying a 3rd individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted for questioning in connection to the above-listed homicide.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
