Police were called to a Bronx elementary school after an 11-year-old student was found with a loaded BB gun on the premises, the Department of Education said.
Marge Feinberg, a DOE spokeswoman, said the principal’s office called authorities after finding the gun in the fifth-grader’s possession at P.S. 087 on Bussing Avenue.
Police confiscated the weapon and authorities called the child’s parents.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
