A local precinct is revamping its neighborhood watch program in response to a recent spike in crime.

According to NYPD statistics, the 52^nd Precinct has seen 91 reported grand larcenies so far this year, compared to 83 at this time in 2013.

Members of the watch program can now report a crime using a specialized card distributed by the NYPD so that officers will know their location.
