On Thursday, May 16, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted the annual Bronx Week Parent Appreciation celebration, honoring parent leaders and the contributions they have made to children throughout The Bronx, as part of Bronx Week 2019.
Borough President Diaz honored parents who have been leaders in their community, celebrating their contributions they have made not only for their own children but for students throughout the entire borough.
“Children are key to a brighter future for our borough, but our parents are the foundation that help our kids develop into the leaders of tomorrow,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. “I am proud to honor these parents who have worked hard to make The Bronx a great place to live, work and raise a family. You give a Bronx boy or a Bronx girl an opportunity, and they can conquer the world.”
