In Memoriam Of Girolama Brancaccio

Girolama “Gerry” Brancaccio, age 86 of Wilton, wife of the late Nicholas Brancaccio, died on Monday, March 22, 2010 at her home. Born in NYC, Gerry was a lifelong resident of the Pelham Bay section of Bronx.

She was a graduate of Hunter College, had worked for the Board of Education in NYC, and had owned and operated Gilbert Pharmacy on City Island. She was a member of The Knit Wits, a WWII sewing club for troops overseas.

Predeceased by her parents Luigi and Domenica Oliva, and her brother Anthony, she is survived by her two sons, William and his wife Maria of Norwalk, CT and Nicholas and his wife Sherry of Walnut Creek, CA , 4 loving grandchildren; Billy, Nicole Nicholas and Christopher Brancaccio, as well as a sister Anna Corbisiero and nephews and nieces; Judith Corbisiero, Louis Oliva, Michael Brancaccio and Christine Arebalo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 2855 St. and Theresa Ave., Bronx, with burial to follow at St. Raymond Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
