Eleanor Patricia Gosik Passed At 87

Eleanor Patricia Gosik, longtime resident of Marlboro, previously of Bronx, entered into eternal rest on March 10, 2012 at the King Street Home for Nursing Care & Rehabilitation in Rye Brook, NY. She was 87.

The only child of the late John and Mary McNulty, Eleanor was born on March 17, 1924 in the Bronx, NY. She was married for 62 years to her husband Joseph, who predeceased her in September 2010.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Marlboro and along with her husband, was active for many years in the Senior Citizens. Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Cully and husband, James of Campbell Hall, NY, and Carol Lewis and husband, Michael of Newburgh and Kattskill Bay, NY, and two sons, Stephen Gosik and wife, Donna of Hartsdale, NY and Joseph Gosik and wife, Kathleen of Ocala, FL; her grandchildren: Harold “Duffy” Cully, Ellen Cully, Jaime Robinson, Erica Ellenberger, Kyle Lewis and Ashley, Gavin and Brandon Gosik.

Visitation will be held from 05:00 to 08:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Mary’s Church, Route 9W, Marlboro with Father Edward Bader officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
