On Saturday, December 29, 2018, the community turned out to enjoy Parkchester’s Annual Celebration of Kwanzaa, a much-needed festive gathering.

The event once again was a great success, and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.

The band, drummers, dancers, vocalists, poet, bassist, and spoken word artists gave a wonderful performance, and did a great job entertaining the attendees.

Every speaker delivered a reality check – wake up speech, which was an exceptional powerful message that connected and challenged everyone to think about being more pro-active in his or her family and community.

The cook and chef did a magnificent job preparing delicious food.

The DJ, soundman, and hosts kept the program on time with a consistent flow.

The amazing vendors, their unique stylish craft artisan products and services provided affordable quality goods.

Special thanks and gratitude to all the financial contributions of sponsors, supporters, donations, and consultants who made it possible to have this program.

We thank Father David Power of St. Helena Church, who made it possible to host this event…

It takes a village, we appreciate everyone who invited their friends and family, hope you had fun.

We look forward to your support and/or seeing you at the next Creating Unity in the Community Parkchester’s Annual Celebration of Kwanzaa.

Please let us know if you wish to volunteer or have any questions by contacting DeBra Oguamah.
