People gathered in Van Cortlandt Park Sunday to educate and raise awareness about suicide prevention.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention says it is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States.

This year’s walk featured a butterfly tree, where people could place a butterfly on it to symbolize those who were lost to suicide.
