The Inspirational Gospel Assembly, one of New York’s most inspiring churches located on Brooks Ave, Bronx, NY recently held a spectacular gospel show in preparation for the its grand inauguration in New York, scheduled for May 28 2011.
Inspirational Gospel Assembly, “IGA” or “Inspirational” as the church is popularly called, held the pre-inauguration gospel extravaganza; a praise and worship show featuring the superb, divinely anointed and internationally acclaimed gospel music superstar; Sonnie Badu of “Covenant Keeping God” fame. The gospel show Sonnie Badu coincided with Miss Selasie Fumador’s birthday celebrations.
With anointed gospel stars coming together from London and New York included; Elder Kenneth Appiah and Nana Yaw Ofori Atta. It was a spectacular show from the beginning till the end.. Among the huge crowd that filled the beautiful auditorium were gospel music lovers from New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and many people from diverse background especially; Ghanaians, Nigerians, African-Americans, Caribbeans, British, Ivorians, Spanish and many more.
The gospel extravaganza was introduced by Mr. Steve Darkwah, one of New York’s finest MCs, who was the MC for this grand occasion. Mr. Darkwah’s performance was splendid. In between jokes, words of inspiration and historical stories, Mr. Steve Darkwah left a lasting impression that gospel music lovers will forever remember.
And when it was time for the man of the moment, Sonnie Badu to perform, Mr. Darkwah offered an inspiring introduction on the gospel star which felt like heaven on earth as the whole crowd was moved on their feet by the highly inspirational, Holy Spirit-filled song ministration.
The climax of the praise and worship show came when Sonnie Badu performed his international platinum hit; “Covenant Keeping God”. At this time, the crowd which involved the young, and the old was moved by the Holy Spirit, kicking the devil hard and dancing the night away at the new magnificent IGA auditorium.
With his supernatural ability to sing, to the point of even composing a new song within a few seconds, his charisma, he was able to connect with the audience through jokes and words of inspiration. It was a manifestation for all to see that Sonnie Badu is truly talented and called by God. No wonder he is now recognized by internationally known gospel superstars
Among the up and coming gospel stars who shared the stage with Sonnie was IGA’s new gospel sensation, the charming and talented Meghan Agblevor who delivered a spectacular performance that sent the crowd dancing for more. Ms Agblevor’s performance impressed Sonny Badu.
Inspirational Gospel Assembly, popularly called “IGA” or “Inspiratonal” is a pioneering international church with headquarters in New York and branches in Ghana.
