Bronxites and others will hear details about the borough’s growth, challenges and plans when they tune in to Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. delivering the ‘State of the Borough’ address on BronxNet.

To provide further insight, Borough President Diaz will also appear on BronxTalk for a discussion with host Gary Axelbank. The “State of the Borough”, delivered on February 22nd was broadcast live and is being rebroadcast on BronxNet Ch. 67-Optimum and on Ch. 33-Fios. The “State of the Borough” airs 3/2 at 2:45 p.m., 3/3 at 6:30 p.m., 3/4 at 5:00 p.m., 3/5 at 7:45 p.m., 3/6 at 12:30 p.m., 3/7 at 11:15 a.m., 3/8 at 8:00 a.m., 3/9 at 2:45 p.m., 3/10 at 6:30 p.m. and 3/11 at 5:00 p.m.. BronxTalk featuring Borough President Diaz will be broadcast live Monday, 3/5 at 9:00 p.m., with rebroadcasts Tuesday through Friday 3/2 through 3/9 at 9:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Viewers from all over the world can also share the experience live here.

Bronxites who were unable to attend the live “State of the Borough” event, as well as attendees who want a recap will hear Borough President Diaz’ entire speech which included comments on decreased unemployment and crime rates, increased workforce participation and graduation rates, affordable housing gains, a Mott Haven Technology Hub, innovations in education, tenant protections and much more, when they tune in to the rebroadcast. The borough president’s conversation on BronxTalk will focus on topics raised in his “State of the Borough” address, along with other topics of interest to Bronx residents.
