Caregivers Outreach 6th Annual Family Caregivers Award Luncheon

We are please to announce that in recognition of National Family Caregivers Month, Caregivers Outreach Ministry Empowerment, Inc. (C.O.M.E.), will hold its 6th Annual Family Caregivers Award Luncheon on November 10, 2012.

The fundraiser is an opportunity to say, “Thank you. You are doing a great job. We are here for you.” and will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 12 – 5 p.m. at the Eastwood Manor located at 3371 Eastchester Road, Bronx NY.

Nominations for the 2012 Leon David Simmons Award for family caregivers of the elderly can be completed on C.O.M.E.’s website here or submitted via e-mail comeoutreach@yahoo.com and an eBrochure could be viewed here.

About C.O.M.E.:

Caregivers Outreach Ministry Empowerment, Inc. was founded by Diane Cooper, a registered nurse. Mrs. Cooper has more than 29 years of service and community contact with family caregivers of the elderly. Her love for the elderly was a strong motivation in her pursuit of a Postgraduate Certificate as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from New York University.

The organization’s mission is to educate, equip and empower community leaders with the tools to develop and implement the C.O.M.E. Outreach Support Model.

C.O.M.E. strives to empower family caregivers with accessible resources and knowledge to make comfortable choices and decisions that will have a positive impact upon the quality of life for themselves and their loved ones. It continues to increase the awareness about the needs and challenges of family caregivers of the elderly.
