Mary J. Blige is heading home to The Bronx, New York to perform the U.S. National Anthem at the upcoming sixth game of baseball’s World Series at Yankee Stadium.

The diva will sing The Star-Spangled Banner before the New York Yankees take on the Philadelphia Phillies later today.

The Bronx-born star is the latest musician to sign up to sing at the baseball battles – John Legend and Alanis Morissette have already performed the anthem.

The Yankees are expected to win the big game at home and secure the World Series.
