The ‘Jenny from the Block’ hitmaker will return to her roots in the visual for her new track, which was co-written by R&B singer Chris Brown.

American Idol judge Jennifer posted the sneak peek to fans on Twitter last night. She said: “To all my die hards who have been there from the beginning… #comingsoon #samegirl #thebronx.”

In the teaser video, JLo walks through the neighbourhood in her native Bronx, dances in the rain and also waits on the platform for a train to arrive, in scenes which was filmed last month.

The 44-year-old singer, who is dating dancer Casper Smart, first teased the single in March last year when she posted a photo of herself in the recording studio with Chris.

‘Same Girl’ will be the first single taken from JLo’s upcoming tenth studio album. Both Robin Thicke and Big Sean are also expected to feature on Jennifer’s new album, after she was seen in the recording studio with them in September.

Jennifer, whose last single ‘Live It Up’ was released in June 2013, will be making a return to American Idol alongside fellow judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., when season 13 kicks off in the US this week.
