The Bronx Documentary Center (BDC) is seeking individuals for unpaid internships lasting from three to six months.

Individuals with interest in photography, film and journalism are invited to apply. Good oral and written communication skills are a must, a working knowledge of Spanish is helpful.

Interns must commit to a minimum of three days a week (weekends are a possibility). Duties include planning and mounting exhibitions, producing a film screening series and educating NYC teenagers about documentary projects.

The BDC is a new gallery and educational space dedicated to the creation, exhibition and dissemination of world-class documentary projects from around the globe.

Recent events include talks and screenings by New York Times war photographer Joao Silva and Oscar-winning filmmaker Ross Kaufman, director of Born into Brothels. This fall the BDC will show the work of the photojournalist and filmmaker Tim Hetherington.

Resumes can be sent to kamberm@gmail.com.
