Bronx Man Charged With Stealing From Westchester Banks

A Bronx man is accused of trying to scam Westchester banks using a fake identity.

Police say Jose Cabrera went to the People’s United Bank branches in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, Ossining and Thornwood with a forged Connecticut driver’s license.

The license had his photo but the information of another man.

The 55-year-old is facing 14 charges, including identity theft and grand larceny.
