Help Identify A Robbery Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached photo and video and is sought in connection with a robbery within the confines of the 48th Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 2100 hours inside of a multi-unit residential building in the vicinity of E. 175 Street and Crotona Park North, the victim, a 73-year-old male was home alone when there was a knock at his door. The victim opened his apartment door and an unidentified male forced his way in, grabbed a knife from the victim’s kitchen, sat the victim in a chair in the living room and began slashing the victim’s arms and hands while demanding money. The unidentified male then proceeded to the victim’s bedroom, where he removed $2,000 from under a mattress. The unidentified male removed the victim’s android cellphone and landline telephone and then fled on foot. The victim sought the assistance of a neighbor and called 911. EMS responded and transported the male to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
