Help Identify A Robbery Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 52 Precinct in Bronx/Transit District 11.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Friday December 7, 2018, at approximately 11:46 p.m., inside of a “D” train at the Norwood – 205 Street/Bainbridge Avenue subway station, the 48-year-old male victim woke up from his sleep after he felt someone remove his backpack from off his lap. The victim then saw the male individual empty the contents of his backpack on the floor of the train. When the victim confronted the male, the individual cut the victim in the hands, face and neck with a sharp object. The male fled the station on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was unable to find his cell phone after the incident.

The individual is described as a male, Hispanic, 30 to 50 years old; last seen wearing a black knit cap, black sunglasses, a blue hooded sweater with the word “Nike” across the front, blue jeans and dark colored boots.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
