Police say a Bronx man was killed this morning after a sanitation truck compactor came down on him.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. at 139 Plymouth Street in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. Upon arrival, police discovered Luis Camarillo, 18, unconscious and unresponsive.

The Mott Haven resident was working in the rear of a “Chambers, Papers, and Fibers” sanitation truck when the compactor came down and struck his torso. He was transported to Long Island College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.
