A pair of loyal dogs helped their owner chase after a thief who took off with a gold chain from a jewelry store in Bronx Thursday, but the swiper managed to get away and police are now looking for her.

Police said a woman walked into the Kings Jewelry shop at 55 East Kingsbridge Rd. at about 3:40 p.m. and asked to see a gold chain.

When the clerk stepped away to allow another customer to enter the store, the woman ran out of the store with chain.
