Bronx Food Tech Event

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.'s office, along with the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, The Bronx Chamber of Commerce, and Metropolitan College of New York, will host a Bronx Food Tech event.

Panels will include, "How Bronxites are Connecting to Food" and "The Future of Food Tech & Innovations."

The event will take place tomorow, Friday, January 25, 2019 and will unwind as follows:                

09:00 - 10:00 a.m. – "Food Tech and the Bronx" with Barbara Turk (Director of the Mayor’s Office of Food Policy), Larry Scott Blackmon (VP of Public Affairs, Fresh Direct), Jessica Grace Torres (Director of Business Intelligence, City Harvest), Larry White (Chief Information Officer, FultonFishMarket.com), and Julian Rodriguez (Founder and CEO, Access Bazaar).

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. – "How Bronxites are Connecting to Food" with Lisa Sorin (President, the Bronx Chamber of Commerce), Brendan Lewis (Director of Communications, Grubhub/Seamless), Rachel Saslaw (Marketing Manager, Yelp), Marco Shalma (Owner, Round Seven and the Co-Founder of the Bronx Night Market), Andrew Rigie (Executive Director, the NYC Hospitality Alliance), and Kevin Dugan (Government Affairs Director, New York Restaurant Association).

11:00 a.m. - noon – "The Future of Food Tech – Innovations and Bronx Highlights" with Charles Platkin (Executive Director of the Hunter College NYC Food Policy Center), Michael Muzyk (CEO of Baldor Specialty Foods), Daniel Romanoff (President, NebraskaLand), Mike King (Manager, Krasdale), Bryan Moran (Director of Dev Ops,Plentiful) and Jose Salcedo, CEO, Traillo.
