On Saturday, June 8, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. marched in the inaugural Yemeni American Day Parade, which took place on Rhinelander Avenue in the borough.

“The Yemeni diaspora is so strong in the Bronx and it was an absolute pleasure to join in celebrating their rich heritage and stand with them in solidarity against Islamphobia. The Muslim community is growing and making our borough an even better place,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
