Help Identify An Assault Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photos in regard to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 47 Precinct in Bronx (Transit District 12).

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at approximately 0310 hours, inside of the 238th Street / Nereid Avenue Street subway station, as a northbound “2” train pulled into the station, an unknown individual approached a 78-year-old female who was seated onboard, and proceeded to punch and kick her numerous times in the face and about the body. The unknown individual exited the train at 238 Street / Nereid Avenue and fled on foot to parts unknown. The 78-year-old female victim rode the train one more northbound stop and exited the train at the 241st Street station where she was met by EMS. The victim suffered from bleeding and swelling with cuts to the face. She was treated on scene by EMS and refused further medical attention.

The individual is described as a male Black, approximately 40-years-old, 6’0″, 180 lbs., with a black goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black knit cap, long black and white checkered scarf, metal framed glasses, and black pants.
