The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance with locating and identifying the individuals in the attached video and photographs, who are wanted in connection to several robberies that occurred within the confines of the 48 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

Incident #1: It was reported to police that on Saturday June 8, 2019, at approximately 1932 hours, in front of 2136 Mapes Avenue, the four individuals entered the 61-year-old male victim’s cab after he told them he was off duty. Once inside the cab, the individuals demanded money and took the victim’s cell phone from the vehicle’s center console. The males then fled the vehicle on foot in an unknown direction.

Incident #2: It was reported to police that on Monday June 17, 2019, at approximately 1500 hours, the 64-year-old male victim, an on-duty cab driver, picked up the 4 individuals in front of 800 East 180 Street where they requested to be taken to 777 Crotona Park North. Once at the location, one of the males put the victim in a chokehold and the rest of the individuals demanded money. The victim complied and gave them $200 in cash. The individuals also took a chain from off the victim’s neck and a surveillance camera from the car’s windshield. The males fled the car on foot in an unknown direction.

Incident #3: It was reported to police that on Monday June 17, 2019, at approximately 1700 hours, the 37-year-old male victim, an on-duty cab driver, picked up the 4 individuals in the vicinity of East 181 Street and Mapes Avenue where they requested to be driven around but did not give any specific location. The victim then drove them back to East 181 Street and Mapes Avenue. Once at the location, one of the males put the victim in a chokehold and the rest of the individuals removed $230 in cash and his cell phone. When the individuals fled the vehicle, the victim called 911 and followed them to front of 800 East 180 Street where he took photographs of the individuals with another cell phone.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation a 13-year-old male from Bronx was arrested on June 17, 2019 at approximately 2040 hours; he was charged with robbery and criminal obstruction of breathing.

The 3 unapprehended individuals were described as follows:

  • The first individual is described as a male, Black; last seen wearing a white tank top, gray shorts, dark colored sneakers and he carried a white shirt over his shoulder.
  • The second individual is described as a male, Black; last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, blue jeans and dark colored sneakers.
  • The third individual is described as a male, Black; last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a white shirt, dark colored pants, and black and white sneakers.
