Help Identify A Robbery Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached video and photo sought in connection with a robbery within the confines of the 44 Precinct in Bronx/Transit District 11.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 08:20 a.m. inside of the E. 161 Street/Yankee Stadium train station, the 41-year-old female victim was purchasing a Metrocard from a vending machine when the unidentified male approached her, displayed a knife and forcibly removed $120 cash from her hand. The male fled the location to parts unknown. The victim was not injured.

The male is described as being Hispanic, approximately 5’7″ tall, 160 lbs., with a medium complexion and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red, white & blue winter hat, a red vest, a white, red & black shirt, black pants, white sneakers and a black backpack.

Attached is a surveillance photo depicting the male after the incident, obtained from a McDonalds located at 51-67 E. 161 Street.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
