Brian Kirhagis, aka “BK The Artist”, is an internationally renowned painter whose unmistakably unique work and strikingly original concepts are laced with socially conscious messages. His signature technique of weaving together double images and hidden elements using shape and color allow him to tell a story on canvas with paint. These qualities combined have elevated BK into one of the art world’s brightest stars and one of Compound’s favorite artists.

On April 3, 2019 from 07:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Compound hosted an opening reception for LEVELS. This exhibition showcasing 30 powerful pieces, both never-before-seen and favorites from previous collections spanning multiple years and techniques.

About Compound Gallery

The Compound Gallery, a creative space founded by cultural ambassador and creator of the AND1 Mixtapes, Set Free, is a place where art, music, fashion, and sports are fused, inspiring an atmosphere of innovation.

The space serves as an adult playground for work, curated events, and meetings of the minds; where various artistic people come together to sharpen each-other and give life to imagination.

Compound Gallery is an extension of the creative space, opened last year. This new, raw, space, in partnership with Yasiin Bey, a.k.a. Mos Def, will serve as an outlet for all forms of art, rental space, and activations.

Featuring two main gallery spaces with built-in skylights, a private curated VIP room and a spacious window front for displays and installations.
