Edward Rivera, 40, Wanted For Robbery

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the whereabouts of the following individual in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 46 Precinct in Bronx / Transit District 11.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Monday January 7, 2019, at approximately 07:20 a.m., inside of the 182 Street/183 Street “B/D” subway station, the individual approached the 37-year-old male victim and asked for money. When the victim ignored him and turned to walk away, the individual stabbed him once in the lower back. The victim then confronted the individual and, after a brief struggle, the individual stabbed the victim in the right shoulder. The victim subsequently complied with the individual’s demands for money and gave him approximately $10 in cash. The victim ran out of the station and the individual remained behind. The victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition. The individual fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The individual was identified as:

Edward Rivera, 40-year-old male, 5’8″, 150 lbs., with his hair in braids.

Last seen wearing dark colored clothing. The individual is known to frequent areas in the vicinity of the 46 and 50 Precincts.
