Martin Dunn’s Dunn Development Corporation plans to build a 12-story rental property in the Crotona Park East neighborhood in Bronx, according to property records filed with the city Wednesday.
The proposed 121-unit, 101,239-square-foot building at 1812 Vyse Avenue would feature 11 apartments on floors two through 12, as well as a mail room, exercise room, computer room, community room and laundry room on the first floor.
The vacant lot, which records show Dunn Development purchased last year for $4 million, lies east of Crotona Park and adjacent to New Horizons Shopping Mall. Dattner Architects will design the project, filings show.
Dunn Development declined to comment, as did Dattner Architects.
The zoning, C4-2, allows for as of right residential development.
The Bronx has seen an increase in development in recent years, with the community district around Crotona Park experiencing over $250 million of residential investment in 2015, according to a report by the borough president. The increase was spurred largely by the Compass Residencies.
